    Fyi Disk Defragmenting

Disk Defragmenting is the a way that can will make your computer read files faster.
Files you save on your computer tends to split into different chunks. This is one of the reasons why some computers are getting slower.

So my question, how frequently are you doing Disk Defragmenting?
    What software are you using?

Thats an important process to run on your system at regular interval to boost its performance.

I almost do it every week and use the inbuilt defragmenter which is present in the Windows OS. Thats more then sufficient as per me. What say??

For my computer, I do it once a month.
And I wouldn't suggest using the Windows Disk Defrag crap. It's really slow and time consuming.
I have found a good one years ago. It's called Auslogics Disk Defrag.
It can defrag a 80 gb hard disk in just less than half an hour, depending on the space used.
Here's the site: Disk Defrag - Fast and Safe Defragmenter for Your Disks

    Try it.

I perform it once in a while. I don't notice any difference, but I just do it.

May be youll notice vast difference only if your system is full of split files. This mostly happens with people who are crazy about installing any new application on their system. They use it for a while and then delete then again install some different one. So the junk and broken files keep on accumulating.

Well, it won't be any big difference if you regularly do it.
Imagine if you do it yearly, there will be large chunks of files all over and it will take your PC to defrag it almot over an hour to finish.

The last defrag I made was +9% in improvement.

i dont think you need to fragment it frequently..just fragment it once and it ll not make your pc faster.. it is just gonna increase the space

Hey not to mention but it does make the processes faster. Just imagine any application on your PC. Would it run faster if it is in a single file or would it run faster if it was in a couple of broken files???

Exactly that is what defragmentation does.
