    Default Best antivirus for PC??

Any idea which is the best antivirus for PC. I dont need the complete protection like live scanner or something but it should be able to detect every minute malware and trojan and clean it appropriately.

Any suggestions. Need some urgent help!!

I got a licensed copy of Norton and was using it long back. Hey I just stopped using it cos it used to slow my computer and my internet connection a lot. I think it scans each and ever file exchanged even while on internet.

I don't like Norton because of that reason. I like Kaspersky and NOD32. Those are are pretty good.

Kaspersky on licensed or Avira on free anti virus.
I have used both of them, on different PCs of course, and I can say that they give the utmost protection needed by your computer.
You just need to regularly upgrade it.

Yes. Avira has a free and Premium version.

About Trend Micro, I don't have any idea. If you haven't used it for a year, your licensed might be expired.
May I know how many years is your license on that software?

Thanks for the link. Reps ++

Dont exactly know for how long the licence is valid. Used it for less than a year and then i bought a new system so never loaded it on the new system. But I got the original CD with the key. Will need to check out if it is in force.

So from your experience, Trend Micro is a good or bad anti virus?
But I think you need to check up the license of that one so that you can use it.

Not sure how effective it is cos in those days I never had internet access at home on my home PC. So never actually used it to the full extent. Just used it so scan the pen drives or other external drives.
