iPhones killing iPods?

Do you think that iPhones are the cause of the reducing sales of iPods that the company is facing right now since iPhones are complete why would one bother about buying a iPod when they can have so much more at better prices.

Would be early to jum to this conclusion. Since the launch of ipods many other me too verisons of the ipods have come into existence. These newer versions have been constatnly eating into the sales of ipods.

Steve Jobs is a genius. Even if the iphone is competing with the ipod, I am sure he was aware of this years before either existed.

I guess either the two devices will start containing different technology and become more niche, or the iphone will in fact just take over. But I know for myself, I do not have AT&T, so the ipod is the only choice for me as of now.

Conclusion: never doubt Steve Jobs

An upgraded version of iPhone is coming in 2008. It will bear google interface with menus as we see on our PC.

yes,definitley..when you are getting more features in the same price range then obviously you would be going for the better and latest option..ipods seem outdated now..

Let us consider the market have changing trend. Lets face it, the iPod are for teenager and iPhone for fun loving adult !!

There's the iPhone 3G that's coming out on July 11th with reduced prices.

In india it'll launch on july 11 too as in many asian markets as it's not launched here officially but here the prices might not be dearer. Lets hope they keep nearly same price for indians too.because in black market it's cost in india currently is $700 approx.

I think so.because i phone is a complete package and why would anyone go for a ipod when he/she gets a better options at almost the same price.

Now that iphone 3G will be launched soon,it will be another step forward by the apple team.
