Default Underwater ice hockey

Underwater ice hockey

The first ever World Cup in the new extreme sport of underwater ice hockey has been staged in the frozen White Sea lake in Austria.

Eight nations battled it out in the freezing water under a thick ice covering - without oxygen.
The no oxygen rule meant that players had to resurface frequently through special holes drilled in the ice so they could get air.
Finland won in the final beating Austria 7-4.

It's quite a fancy idea they have, considering we don't have any underwater sports currently.

How could those ice hockey players bear the freezing cold and still play under water without oxygen? That is pretty amazing indeed! I wonder how they are trained and what they do in training to fully stretch the limits of their body. I would not stand minutes under those temperatures, let alone play while not breathing for the most part of the game.

Boy this must be thrilling game in the earth. So cold and that also without oxygen and after that hard core physical labour game. Hats off to these players. I would appreciate if someone paste the photos of this game.

Yeah, can anyone please post some photos or videos of this game in this thread? I'm sure a lot of people here would love watching those as I certainly would.
