What's this talk about on electricity so the source is better?

So a computer runs on electricity, why does that instantly mean that electricity is a better invention then the computer?
I am sure there's a way you can run computers on gasoline, but it's simply more effecient to use electricity, it doesn't initially make electricity a better invention just because it allows a computer to run.
