So without changing your login username.....You only change how your name is spelled. So that would be called the Display Name.You can change the letters of your display name in your User CP.And LobBob, this is not right: Username=Display Name. This is what is right: Display Name=How your name is seen by you and others.


You can maybe add a point thing tot he Display Name option. Only with your points, can you change your Display Name. Let's say for example it costs 5000 points to change it. You buy it and you lose 5000 points.
This should let you understand better,LobBob. In addition, this may prevent account stealing. And if this suggestion becomes a big issue after being implemented, you can unimplement it....

Haven't you ever thought of this when setting a Display Name This Display Name is not available. Or A Username is being in use of this name. So actually, there will not be any impersonating issues. Also, when you mentioned "people pretending to be staff", it's nearly impossible with a Moderator bar or Administrator bar in use like:. If they don't have that bar, their fakers. Simple.
